Description

Framed Photo of The Iconic Clock from 30 Bouverie Street "News of the World."

This picture was taken from the walls of Wapping in 2011 when they demolished the building.

The publication left its historic Fleet Street home during "the moonlight flit" in January 1986, moving to a modern plant in Wapping (East London). However, historical accounts from the time note that the famous News of the World clock did not make the journey to the new site, leaving few physical traces of the paper's long era on Bouverie Street.
The clock was dismantled and disposed of when they demolished Bouverie street for a modern office block.
